Class 1 hazard labels for explosive substances and articles

Class 1 hazard labels from BOXLAB Services are used to identify packages containing explosive substances and articles. The orange, self-adhesive dangerous goods labels combine clearly visible hazard identification with durable material for industrial, shipping and logistics applications.

For dangerous goods transport under ADR, RID, the IMDG Code and IATA DGR, the label design must match the classification of the goods. The relevant division and compatibility group, where specified, depend on the selected product variant.

Durable polypropylene labels with strong adhesion

The dangerous goods labels are made of polypropylene (PP). The flexible material adapts to curved surfaces and is weather-resistant as well as oil- and dirt-repellent. This makes the labels suitable for demanding conditions during storage, handling and transport.

The strong adhesive provides reliable adhesion even on challenging surfaces, including polyethylene drums. Thorough surface preparation supports adhesion and helps the marking remain legible throughout use.

Seawater resistance to BS 5609

For appropriately certified variants, the printed image meets the requirements of BS 5609, Section III. These include legibility and abrasion resistance under exposure to seawater. Certification details for the selected variant are provided in the technical product information.

Depending on the product, the hazard labels are available on sheets or rolls. Select the appropriate division, the required compatibility group where applicable, and the pack quantity that suits your needs. The exact dimensions and the number of labels per sheet or roll are listed for each product.

Applying hazard labels correctly

Apply the labels to a clean, dry surface that is free from dust and grease. For surface preparation, we recommend the BOXLAB Bio Cleaner, item 610002. Allow the cleaned surface to dry completely, then press the label down firmly and evenly across its entire surface.
